March 2023 – The Acanthamoeba Keratitis Eye Foundation was honored to take part in A Rare Knight Fundraising 2023, an event organized by Avanzanite Bioscience to support rare disease awareness and patient advocacy.
Our founder, Juliette Vila Sinclair Spence, attended as a patient advocate and representative of the Foundation, sharing her personal journey with Acanthamoeba Keratitis (AK) and emphasizing the Foundation’s mission to improve awareness, prevention, and patient support.
Thanks to the generosity of participants, the event successfully raised €4,150 for the Foundation, with an additional contribution of €1,000 from SIFI, reinforcing the commitment to advancing AK education, research, and patient care.
We are deeply grateful for the support and dedication shown by Avanzanite Bioscience, SIFI, and all those who contributed. This funding will help us continue our work in advocacy, education, and support for AK patients worldwide.
