The Acanthamoeba Keratitis Eye Foundation is proud to support Siân John, Health Psychology postgraduate and AK survivor, in leading the first‑ever study to capture the psychological impact of Acanthamoeba Keratitis (AK) through open‑ended patient narratives. This pioneering research seeks to ensure that the lived experiences of AK patients inform healthcare professionals, researchers, and policymakers.
Who Can Take Part
- Patients:Â Adults aged 18+ with a confirmed AK diagnosis
What’s Involved
- A 30‑minute online survey
- Open‑ended questions inviting patients to share their experiences in their own words
- Participation is voluntary and confidential
- Insights will generate real‑world evidence to guide awareness, education, and future care pathways
